What the number can—and cannot—say.

01

The universe changes the percentage

This page includes U.S. men ages 20–69, whether or not they are currently employed or dating. A statistic limited to full-time workers, households, unmarried men, or a specific age band would answer a different question.

02

Personal income is not household income

Personal income belongs to the individual. Household income can combine earnings from a spouse, partner, relatives, or roommates and should not be used interchangeably in dating-pool claims.

03

$100K plus six feet is an overlap

The calculator counts age and income jointly in the ACS, then models the height filter from CDC measurements. It labels that physical-trait step as an estimate rather than presenting it as a fully observed joint count.

What percentage of men earn six figures?

The headline on this page is the weighted share of U.S. men ages 20–69 with at least $100,000 in annual personal income in 2024 ACS microdata.

Does $100K mean salary?

No. The model uses the ACS personal-income measure used to generate this dataset, not salary from a single job and not household income.

Can I narrow the answer to unmarried men?

Yes. Turn on the not-currently-married filter and choose an age range to see the jointly counted ACS pool before modeled height or BMI filters.
