01The universe changes the percentage
This page includes U.S. men ages 20–69, whether or not they are currently employed or dating. A statistic limited to full-time workers, households, unmarried men, or a specific age band would answer a different question.
02Personal income is not household income
Personal income belongs to the individual. Household income can combine earnings from a spouse, partner, relatives, or roommates and should not be used interchangeably in dating-pool claims.
03$100K plus six feet is an overlap
The calculator counts age and income jointly in the ACS, then models the height filter from CDC measurements. It labels that physical-trait step as an estimate rather than presenting it as a fully observed joint count.
