We start with the original source

We link to the original table, report, or study. Each statistic names the group counted, place, date, and definition. We explain uncertainty when it affects the result.

A record, a survey, and a model are different

We distinguish official records, survey answers, and estimates that combine sources. We describe a pattern as a cause only when the study supports that conclusion.

Who writes and checks the work

Articles use Nora Hale, our editorial pen name. The Research Desk remains responsible for the work. We do not invent credentials, personal experiences, tests, interviews, or reviews.

Automation and AI can help with data, drafts, code, checks, and design. We still check sources, claims, and calculations.

Update and correction rules

We change a modified date for important updates to facts, methods, structure, or sources. Small wording edits do not make old evidence current.

We log meaningful errors under our corrections policy and explain when a conclusion changes.

Money does not change results

Paid relationships cannot determine conclusions or hide important facts. We disclose them beside the related content. The site has no advertising network.

Treat people with care

The project can compare groups without calling a gender delusional. A physical or economic trait does not measure human value. Safety articles must separate warning patterns from claims about a person.

Do not use a result for employment, housing, credit, insurance, health care, or another important eligibility decision.
