Related Census filters stay together

Our calculator counts age, income, education, marital status, and state together in 2024 Census person records. The Female Delusion Calculator’s published method says it treats its filters as statistically independent. Our separately sourced health filters still require modeling, which we explain in the methodology.

One method across 51 locations

Every state and Washington, D.C. has its own Census-based estimate. The state comparison keeps the filters fixed, so readers can see what changes when the location changes.

Two distinct ranges for modeled health filters

Results with health filters show a source-input range and an overlap range. One varies the health data; the other shows how different overlap between traits could change the answer. Neither is a final confidence interval.

Both population groups on one result

The calculator applies the same selected filters to the men’s and women’s source categories and shows both estimates together. DelusionCalc.com describes two separate calculators for those groups. Our result describes survey populations; it does not rate a person or predict a match.

Three ways to reuse the Pool Index

The newsroom provides an SVG chart, CSV file, and JSON data for the same state comparison. Each includes source context so a journalist or researcher can trace the estimate before sharing it.

Articles and guides use Nora Hale, the project’s editorial pen name. The Pool Report Research Desk is responsible for research, sources, and corrections. Nora’s portrait and editorial backstory are part of that pen name; they do not identify a founder.

The project was built as a neutral alternative to calculators that label dating preferences a “delusion.” Its public work now includes calculators, claim checks, and source-labeled data. A founder biography, team roster, and official social accounts have not been published.

The site is free, with no advertising network or active affiliate links. We disclose any paid relationship beside the related content before it goes live.

Is The Pool Report a dating app?

No. It estimates population groups from public data and publishes research. It does not introduce people or count active dating-app users.

Is Nora Hale the founder?

No founder has been publicly named. Nora Hale is an editorial pen name, and the Research Desk is responsible for published work.

Does the calculator predict who I will date?

No. It estimates how many people in a source population meet measurable filters. It cannot measure mutual interest, compatibility, or who is available to date.

Do I need to pay or create an account?

No. The public calculator and data tools are free to use without an account.

How can I report an error?
