ABOUT THE PROJECT← Research

About The Pool Report.
Dating data, without the judgment.

Why this project exists, who publishes it, and what you can expect from every number.

Updated September 2, 2026
In short

The Pool Report uses public data to answer questions about dating numbers. It estimates population groups. It does not predict who will date or match.

The Research Desk publishes the work. Each number keeps its source, group, date, and limits.

01

What The Pool Report is

The Pool Report is an independent data project. It uses public data to estimate how many people match the dating filters they choose. It also checks popular dating claims against their original sources.

Our job is limited. For each number, we show the group it describes, when and where the data came from, and its limits. The denominator is the group a percentage describes.

The Pool Report is published at datingpoolreport.com.

02

Who writes the research

The Pool Report Research Desk publishes the articles. This is an organizational byline, not a claim that one person wrote or reviewed every page.

We name a person only when that person did the work or completed a documented review. We do not invent an expert name, title, or credential for team or automated work.

The Research Desk reads the original report. It records who the source counted and when, separates records from estimates, and links to the evidence. Read the full process in the Editorial Policy.

03

What our work can tell you

We use public data, original-source reading, repeatable calculations, and clear uncertainty notes to explain what a number means.

The site does not give medical, psychological, legal, or relationship advice. If an article needs expert review, we will show the reviewer’s real name, relevant qualification, role, and review date. If that information is absent, the page has not claimed expert review.

04

How the project is funded

The site is free. It does not load an advertising network. We will label any future advertising or commercial relationship. It cannot change a statistical conclusion or hide an important limit.

We must disclose affiliate, sponsored, survey-partner, or paid-research relationships beside the related content and in the editorial record.

No affiliate links are active today. Affiliate tracking is disabled. If that changes, we will label the relationship on every related page before the first link goes live.
