To cancel a Tinder subscription, use the provider that bills you: Apple Subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions, or Tinder’s Manage Payment Account. Check your receipt first. Removing the app does not cancel renewal.

Find who bills you
Use the receipt from your purchase. Tinder’s cancellation help identifies MK orders as Apple, GPA as Google Play, and TNDR as Tinder.com or direct card purchases on Android. Apple Pay can use Tinder’s direct billing route in supported markets. The phone you use today does not establish who bills an older purchase.

For an Apple-billed purchase, follow Apple’s cancellation steps:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Select your name.
- Open Subscriptions.
- Select Tinder.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
Apple says an absent Cancel button or a red expiration message means the subscription is already canceled. If Tinder is missing, find the Apple receipt and check the Apple Account on it. Use that account. You can also start at Apple’s account website and follow its cancellation prompts. Apple advises canceling a trial at least 24 hours before it ends.
Cancel a Google Play subscription
For a Google Play purchase, sign in to the Google Account used to subscribe. Follow Google’s subscription instructions:
- Open the Google Play app.
- Select your profile icon.
- Open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Tinder.
- Select Cancel subscription and complete the displayed instructions.
If the subscription is missing, check your other Google Accounts. Google says ordinary canceled subscriptions remain usable for the period already paid for. If your purchase has a payment plan with several committed payments, stopping renewal leaves the remaining payments due. This is a general Google Play rule; it does not establish that Tinder offers that plan in your account.
Cancel a direct Tinder purchase
Use Tinder’s direct cancellation path:
- Sign in at Tinder.com.
- Open your profile icon.
- Open Manage Payment Account.
- Select the subscription.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
For a direct card or PayPal purchase in the Android app, Tinder also lists profile icon, Manage Payment Account, then Cancel Subscription. If the controls fail, use Tinder support and describe the error.
Check the result and keep your profile choice separate
Reopen the subscription with the billing provider. Check its status and end date, and save the confirmation. Continuing paid access alone does not prove renewal is still on: Tinder’s terms say canceled subscriptions retain benefits until the subscription period ends. Canceling also leaves your profile on the service. For a break from recommendations, use the separate Discovery setting. For account removal, follow the Tinder deletion steps.
Cancellation does not promise a refund for time you have already paid for. Tinder’s refund help directs Apple and Google purchases to those providers. Direct-purchase requests go to Tinder with the purchase email and order number. Refund decisions depend on the purchase and applicable policy or legal rights. Keep renewal cancellation and any refund request as separate checks.
