Bumble Snooze Mode hides your profile while you take a break. Existing chats stay available, but matches without active chats can expire. Snooze does not stop subscription charges.

How to turn on Snooze Mode
- Open your Bumble profile.
- Open Settings.
- Select Snooze Mode.
- Choose 24 hours, 72 hours, one week, or indefinitely.
- Choose an Away Status, or skip it.

A timed break suits you if you already know how long you want to be away. Choose indefinitely if you would rather decide later when to come back.
What happens to your matches and chats?
Bumble's current help page says matches without active chats will expire while you are in Snooze Mode, so it's worth looking through the match queue before a long break.
The separate expired-match guide, updated August 10, 2026, gives a 72-hour limit when no one sends a message. Older articles and search excerpts may still say 24 hours, so trust the timer shown on your own match.
The same guide describes Extend, which adds time before a match expires, and Rematch, which restarts an expired match. Availability depends on the feature and plan, and neither one freezes all your matches while you snooze.
Before you pause, check the message action and timer for any match you want to contact. There is no need to start conversations you do not want just to keep a match alive.
An optional Away Status can tell people you are taking time away, with choices about travel, work, a digital break, or personal time. You can keep messaging existing connections during Snooze. Bumble's explanation of Away Status
A status does not need to carry the whole conversation. If you already made plans with someone, send them a direct message about those plans, and do not assume a change in your profile settings tells them whether the date is still happening.
Cancel renewal if you want to stop paying
Cancel with the company that billed you, which may differ from the maker of the phone you use now.
The table may be wider than the screen. Focus it and use the arrow keys to reach every column.

Follow the cancellation prompts. Bumble says paid access usually lasts through the period already paid for, although an approved store refund may end access sooner. If you cannot get into Bumble to cancel a direct purchase, contact its support team. Bumble's cancellation guide
Apple Pay and an App Store subscription are two different ways of paying, so check the receipt if you are unsure which one you used. If the subscription is missing from one list, check with the billing provider before assuming renewal has stopped.
The record we recommend is simple: the plan name, the end date, and the cancellation confirmation. Keep it outside the app so you can find it during your break.
How to turn Snooze off and return
When you are ready to come back, check your profile and Settings, then turn Snooze off if it is still on. Review any Away Status and look over your chat list.
- Read the conversations you intend to continue.
- Confirm any plans that were left open.
- Check your current profile details.
- Check whether a paid plan is active before buying one.
- Decide how much time you want to spend on new matches.
