Bumble Boost vs Premium vs Premium+: Which Tier Should You Choose?

The short answer

Here is what the sources show

Choose Boost if free Bumble shows people near you who fit your settings. It can give you more Likes, undo a left swipe, or give you more time on a match. Choose Premium for Liked You, more filters, Incognito Mode, or Travel Mode. It includes Boost. Consider Premium+ for photo insights, Notes, weekly items, or Bumble's claim that it may show your profile and Likes sooner. Stay free if no paid feature solves a problem you have seen. No tier can guarantee a match, reply, date, or relationship.

01Testing local relevance before making a purchase

Bumble Free

WHAT YOU GET
Use the free experience to complete a profile, inspect the pool, and learn whether the normal discovery pace works.
WHEN IT MAY HELP
None. The free test should identify a locked feature before a subscription is considered.
KEEP IN MIND
The exact daily like allowance is not published as one universal number on the support page reviewed.
Review Bumble's People tab guidance
02Action limits, mistaken left swipes, and expired matches

Bumble Boost

WHAT YOU GET
Bumble documents unlimited likes and Backtrack, match extensions, rematches, 5 weekly SuperSwipes, and 1 weekly Spotlight.
WHEN IT MAY HELP
Choose it when activity or timing tools—not filtering, privacy, or travel—are the measured limit.
KEEP IN MIND
Backtrack only reverses a left swipe, and timing or visibility tools cannot force a reply.
Compare Bumble's official tiers
03Incoming-like review, advanced filters, privacy, or travel

Bumble Premium

WHAT YOU GET
Premium includes Boost and adds Liked You, available advanced filters, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode.
WHEN IT MAY HELP
It is the first tier when one of those four functions solves a real problem.
KEEP IN MIND
More filters can thin the visible pool, and an incoming like is not proof of compatibility or a reply.
Review Premium's documented features
04A deliberate test of insights, messages before a match, or visibility

Bumble Premium+

WHAT YOU GET
Premium+ includes Premium and adds photo insights, 2 weekly Notes, 10 SuperSwipes, 2 Spotlights, and priority for likes and feed placement Bumble describes.
WHEN IT MAY HELP
Consider it only after profile quality and local pool checks suggest visibility is the main problem.
KEEP IN MIND
Bumble does not publish a guaranteed uplift in matches, replies, dates, or relationships from these additions.

01

Start with the free version, not the paywall

Start with Bumble's free product. Complete the profile, set basic preferences, and check for enough relevant people within a usable distance and age range. Paid tools cannot create a compatible local pool.

Bumble says the free like allowance refreshes 24 hours after a member reaches the limit, but does not publish one universal amount. Check the live product for your limit. If that pace supports thoughtful choices, free access may be sufficient.

02

The shortest useful tier comparison

Boost is the activity-and-timing tier. Premium contains Boost and adds incoming-like review, advanced filtering, controlled visibility, and virtual travel. Premium+ contains Premium and adds photo feedback, extra weekly one-time items, and delivery and feed-priority features that Bumble describes. The higher label is useful only when its extra feature has a defined job.

Treat tiers as nested toolkits, not quality grades. A Premium subscriber does not gain proof that people are more active, serious, safe, or compatible. Bumble also says costs can vary by tier, duration, package size, and special offer, so verify the feature list and total at live checkout.

03

What Bumble Boost includes

Bumble's current plan comparison says Boost includes unlimited likes, unlimited Backtrack, 24-hour match extensions, rematches with expired connections, 5 SuperSwipes each week, and 1 Spotlight each week. Backtrack can undo a left swipe, not a right swipe. A rematch or extension reopens time; it does not restore another person's interest.

Boost fits when the free pool is relevant but an action or timing limit interrupts careful use. It is not the tier for seeing who liked you, advanced filters, Incognito, or Travel. Those begin with Premium. Unused weekly items expire and replenish on the purchase weekday. Bumble gives no exact reset time.

04

What Premium adds over Boost

Premium includes all Boost benefits and adds the Liked You list, an unlimited number of the advanced filters available to the member, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode. Liked You can reduce review time by showing existing incoming interest. It does not establish that every person shown is current, compatible, or likely to reply.

A clear reason to choose Premium is specific: reviewing incoming likes saves substantial time, a documented filter removes meaningful incompatibility, privacy requires selective discovery, or a real trip or move makes Travel useful. If none applies, Premium adds features without naming a problem, and Boost or free access is the smaller choice.

05

Advanced filters can improve focus or empty the list

Bumble documents basic filters for all members and selection of any number of available advanced filters for Premium members. It also says a member can filter for an attribute only after completing that same field on their own profile. Availability can vary, so a static global list would be misleading.

Filters trade volume for specificity. Stacking preferences can reduce People and Liked You results, especially in a smaller location or age band. Start with one genuine dealbreaker and add another only when it saves incompatible review. A filter succeeds by improving relevance, not merely shrinking the count.

06

Incognito is a privacy control, not a visibility tool

Bumble says Incognito Mode is available with Premium and Premium+. While it is on, only people the member has liked first can see that member. That can have a concrete purpose for a privacy-sensitive professional or anyone who wants tighter control over discovery.

The tradeoff is deliberate: restricting who can see a profile is different from seeking maximum visibility. Do not buy Premium+ feed priority to solve a privacy problem without considering that mismatch. No subscription replaces basic safety practices, and Incognito should not be interpreted as identity verification for anyone you encounter.

07

Travel Mode should correspond to a real location plan

Bumble's support page says Travel Mode lets Premium and Premium+ members select one virtual location at a time for seven days. The selected place appears on the profile through a Travel Mode banner. It is a planning tool for a trip or move, not evidence that a distant market will provide better relationships.

Use it for a credible date range and a place you could visit. Repeatedly moving a virtual location can conceal rather than solve a logistical limit. Consider distance, schedule, and willingness to meet before treating a larger on-screen pool as usable opportunity.

08

What Premium+ adds, and what remains unknown

Premium+ includes Premium and adds photo insights, 2 Notes, 10 SuperSwipes, and 2 Spotlights each week. Bumble also describes faster delivery of a subscriber's likes and daily priority for the subscriber's profile in other people's feeds. Those are visibility features that Bumble describes; Bumble does not publish the algorithm, guaranteed impressions, or an independently comparable increase in results.

Photo insights are described as showing which photos people like most, but the reviewed documentation does not disclose the scoring method or prove that acting on the insight improves dates. Premium+ makes sense only if you can explain how insights, Notes, or visibility will be evaluated. It is not an evidence-backed best choice for everyone.

09

Consumables are finite tools, not a subscription answer

A SuperSwipe marks especially strong interest before matching and cannot be undone after it is sent. Spotlight moves a profile forward for greater nearby visibility during a set period. A Note, formerly called a Compliment, is a message of up to 150 characters attached to a profile detail before matching; a match is still required before chat begins.

Bumble describes SuperSwipes, Spotlights, and Notes as separately purchasable, single-use items. Compare the live total for the one action you need with the total and term of a subscription. Measure whether that feature or action yields relevant two-way conversation—not notifications, impressions, raw likes, or the feeling that the product became busier.

10

Why this guide does not publish a price table

Bumble says prices for its tiers and add-ons can vary by tier, duration, package size, and occasional special offer. A copied national figure could therefore be wrong for the reader and could disguise a long prepaid commitment behind a lower monthly equivalent. The purchase-specific Pay Plan display is the reliable comparison point.

Before authorizing payment, record the tier, full charge today, access period, effective monthly cost, renewal date and amount, included weekly items, and purchase owner. Apple, Google Play, and a direct payment route can lead to different management and refund paths. Save the offer and receipt so the later evaluation uses the terms actually accepted.

11

Automatic renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Bumble says subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting a Bumble account does not automatically cancel a subscription. Cancellation depends on the owner of the purchase, and paid access generally remains through the end of the subscribed period after renewal is turned off.

A refund request is separate from cancellation. Eligibility depends on platform, location, and purchase: Apple decides App Store refund requests, Google Play supplies its own route, and Bumble support reviews direct-payment requests. Cancel future renewal separately even while requesting a refund.

Bumble's current pricing page still lists web purchase paths for Spotlight, Boost, and Premium, but not Premium+ or SuperSwipe; Travel Mode is app-only. Bumble announced on June 10, 2026 that Bumble web will soon be discontinued without publishing an exact date. Because availability can change before this guide does, verify the live route and prefer current app or purchase-owner instructions.

12

Measure the one feature you decided to buy

A practical evaluation starts with a 7-to-14-day free baseline using a complete profile and stable core preferences. Track minutes spent, profiles reviewed, relevant profiles found, thoughtful selections, two-way conversations, and dates scheduled. This is a personal decision log, not a controlled experiment or evidence about Bumble users generally.

During one acceptable paid term, keep the same measures. For filters, calculate relevant profiles per profile reviewed. For Liked You, track time per relevant incoming like. For visibility, count relevant two-way conversations rather than visibility. Small samples are noisy, but a consistent count helps keep dashboard activity from becoming a false success claim.

13

National payment statistics are context, not a buying answer

Pew Research Center's survey was fielded July 5–17, 2022. Among U.S. adults who had ever used any dating site or app, 35% said they had ever paid for a service or extra feature; the unweighted subgroup was 3,128 people. In that same lifetime-use population, 41% of men and 29% of women reported ever paying. None is a Bumble conversion or effectiveness rate.

Payment also differed by income in that population: 45% of upper-income, 36% of middle-income, and 28% of lower-income online-dating users reported ever paying. Among all 6,034 U.S. adults surveyed, 8% said they had ever used Bumble, including 27% of adults ages 18–29 and 4% of adults 30 and older. These 2022 lifetime self-reports do not measure current 2026 pool or subscription value.

14

Bottom line: choose the smallest applicable tier

Stay free until a paid feature has a measurable job. Choose Boost for activity, timing, and left-swipe correction; Premium for incoming-like review, advanced filters, privacy, or travel; and Premium+ only for a deliberate insights, Notes, or visibility test after confirming the profile and local pool are viable.

Verify the live offer, record renewal and cancellation details, and judge the purchase by time saved or relevant two-way conversations. A tier changes software access. It cannot create compatibility, interest, safety, a reply, a date, or a relationship. If market size is the real limit, estimate the underlying demographic pool before buying more visibility.

UNDERSTAND THE NUMBERS

What full group does each percentage or rate use?

Bumble tiers by the extra job they perform
OptionDocumented jobImportant limit
FreeBasic discovery and a daily like allowanceThe reviewed page gives no universal allowance
BoostUnlimited likes and Backtrack, timing tools, weekly SuperSwipes and SpotlightNo Liked You, advanced filters, Incognito, or Travel
PremiumEverything in Boost plus review, filtering, privacy, and travelFilters can thin results; incoming interest is not compatibility
Premium+Everything in Premium plus insights, priority, Notes, and larger weekly allotmentsPriority effects and increase in results are not quantified

What does “denominator” mean? The denominator is the whole group used to calculate a percentage or rate.

How to read it: Features and offers can change or vary by market and testing. Confirm the exact live plan before purchase; included access does not guarantee a dating outcome.

Is Bumble Premium better than Bumble Boost?

Premium includes Boost and adds Liked You, advanced filters, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode. It is the better purchase only when one of those additions solves a real problem. For action limits, Backtrack, extensions, or rematches, Boost is the smaller applicable tier.

Does Bumble Premium include Boost?

Yes. Bumble's current comparison says Premium includes everything in Boost, and Premium+ includes Premium. Verify the exact live offer because features and bundles can change or vary by market and testing.

What is the difference between Bumble Premium and Premium+?

Premium+ adds photo insights, 2 weekly Notes, 10 weekly SuperSwipes, 2 weekly Spotlights, and faster like delivery that Bumble describes and daily feed priority. Bumble does not publish a guaranteed increase in matches, replies, dates, or relationships from these additions.

Does Bumble Boost let you see who liked you?

No, according to Bumble's current tier comparison. The Liked You list begins with Premium. Boost instead focuses on unlimited likes and Backtrack, match timing, rematches, and included weekly SuperSwipes and Spotlight.

Is Incognito Mode included with Bumble Boost?

No. Bumble documents Incognito Mode for Premium and Premium+. While it is enabled, only people the member first likes can see that member. It is a controlled-discovery tool, not a verification or safety guarantee.

How long does Bumble Travel Mode last?

Bumble says the selected virtual location is used for seven days, with one active location at a time. The feature is documented for Premium and Premium+, works in the app, and shows a Travel Mode banner on the profile.

Can I buy Spotlight, SuperSwipe, or Notes separately?

Yes. Bumble describes them as separately purchasable, single-use one-time items, while subscriptions include specified weekly quantities. A SuperSwipe cannot be undone, and a Note does not open chat; both people still need to match.

Does deleting Bumble cancel a paid plan?

No. Bumble says account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription. Cancel through the platform or payment method that owns the purchase, do it at least 24 hours before renewal, and save the confirmation.

Will Bumble Premium or Premium+ get me more matches?

No guaranteed or independently comparable uplift was found. The tiers change action limits, review, filters, privacy, travel, signals, insights, or visibility. None can create compatible people or guarantee a match, reply, date, or relationship.
