To unmatch on Bumble, open the chat, tap the three dots in the top right, choose Unmatch, then confirm. Bumble's current help says the action is permanent. It does not establish what the other person saved or can still see, so use Report during that flow if you think their behavior violated Bumble's guidelines.

Use Unmatch from the chat
Open the Chats tab and select the conversation. In the chat, tap the three dots in the top right, choose Unmatch, select a reason if you want to, then confirm. Bumble's current Unmatching someone guide lists those steps.
Read the confirmation before you select it. Bumble describes unmatching as permanent and says it removes the match and chat immediately. Bumble says it cannot undo an accidental unmatch.
Report harmful behavior before the chat is gone
If the issue is a guideline violation or a safety concern, use the Report option while you unmatch. Bumble recommends reporting through that flow so its team can review the situation.
If you already unmatched and no longer have the profile or conversation, Bumble directs you to Support. Its help page asks for details such as the person's name, your reason for reporting, and any available screenshots. Only share information that is relevant to the report.
Do not promise what happens on the other screen
Bumble's help pages describe the other person's chat history differently. The Unmatching page says the person cannot see the conversation history, while the Conversations page says they still have their copy of the messages. The pages agree that future contact through the match ends.
That conflict means you should not rely on Unmatch as a way to erase a message from another person's device. It ends the Bumble connection. It does not establish what another person saved, copied, or can still see outside the app.
A missing chat has more than one explanation
A conversation disappearing does not prove that one person unmatched. Bumble also lists an expired match, a deleted account, and account removal for a guideline violation as possible reasons. Do not infer another person's reason from the missing chat alone.
