Only reviewed counts and percentages can leave private storage. Small groups are suppressed; response-level downloads are never public.
Visible denominator
Every released chart carries its sample size, field period, and participant wording so a viral number does not outrun its evidence.
Before you quote it.
Does this show what all men or women expect?+
No. It describes a voluntary convenience sample of adult Pool Report participants. Gender subgroup results only appear after the subgroup clears the stated minimum sample.
Why not publish results immediately?+
Small, unreviewed samples can be unstable and can expose rare combinations. The publication gate makes quality review and privacy suppression part of the product, not a footnote.
Is dating spend actual or expected spend?+
The questionnaire asks what respondents expect to spend in a typical month while actively dating. It is self-reported and recorded as a band, not a verified transaction total.
Can journalists download the data?+
Reviewed aggregate tables and a codebook can be released. Raw response-level records remain private. Contact research@datingpoolreport.com for a specific table or methodology question.
