Hinge says your location does not update automatically when you travel. To change it, edit Location under My Vitals in your profile. Check the displayed neighborhood afterward, especially when you have moved or are planning a visit.

Change the selected neighborhood
Open your profile, choose the pencil icon, and open My Vitals, then Location. Search for the place or move the map pin. The compass can use your device location when you grant permission. Save with the back arrow.
Hinge allows a broader area or a more specific neighborhood. Its location names come from Google Maps. The profile-editing guide notes that neighborhood names can sometimes be outdated.
Check the profile other people will read
In the profile editor, choose View to preview the profile. Look at the place name and decide whether it describes where you intend to meet people. Hinge says a manually entered location displays the selected neighborhood rather than your exact address.
If you are visiting, explain that in conversation. A neighborhood label cannot tell another person your arrival date, your schedule, or whether you plan to stay. Clear wording about those details is more useful than expecting a map label to explain them.
Keep hometown and distance separate
Hinge distinguishes Location, shown with a compass, from Hometown, shown with a house. Hometown describes where someone is from. The maximum-distance setting controls the radius used for recommendations; that radius measures geographic distance, not travel time.
Imagine two places across a river. A short distance on a map may still leave you with an inconvenient journey. Check the actual route when making plans instead of using an app radius as a travel estimate.
Check availability before relying on a trip setting
Hinge warns that being able to choose a location does not establish that the app can be downloaded or accessed everywhere. New accounts must use an initial location in a supported country. Check its current availability guidance through the location help page.
